Fashion | Kate Spade Spring 2014 RTW

This is my third daily post on a row. Currently I'm on my Christmas holiday from my University so you can guess I have quite free time (well 'ish' cuz of few assignments I have in the queue, but they can wait a while hehe)
Anyway, hello beauties. I was coming up with so many ideas that I will be blogging about in future and most of them include clothes and make up purchases, ootds, my obsessions or things that I'm currently in love with (which includes fashion runways, editorials etc etc) and few more of the times, experiences and pictures of my Nepal visit, and so on.

For me, today is just one of those days I couldn't be bothered to get up and take good quality photos for the blog, plus as the usual England's winter, its been super windy and raining whole day since morning. The weather forecast is showing both wind and rain warning this whole week sigh ~_~
So, today I decided to post about something that doesn't require taking the picture by myself - Runway shows,  that I'm currently in Love with.

Having said that, I have lots of other latest fashion runway shows that I would love to share about but hey, which fashion addict doesn't !

As the title says, today I have decided to post about a runway (not the proper runway, you will know why later) of Spring 2014 Ready-to-wear by the amazing Kate Spade, the designer who is ever so elegant but chic and has mind which knows how to design how a woman wants to feel elegant like.

Initially Spade and her co-worker Joel Franklin launched her New York based design company called 'kate spade handbags' in 1993 where the company started selling out beautiful handbags as the name implies. Later, she eventually extended to include stationery, books, shoes, beauty products, perfume, raincoats, pajamas and eyewear.

Kate Spade and Chanel are very different brands that likes to do things so differently.
This collection of Kate Spade New York expresses more of a story of her world travel tours. Her first stop of Europe trip being Paris, the collection shows some inspired pieces of gorgeous French garden. Beautifully printed peplums with cigarette pants equally chic and the abstract bougainvillea motif that is so much Paris! Next, some Capri-inspired eye catching lemon prints with 50s floaty skirts, full-skirted sundresses, fab capri pants and casual tennis shoes. The perfect trip ends in Monaco, where Kate Spade has brought some oversized sunhats into play, checker board clutches and nautical inspired dresses.
Sticking with the flow of her inspiration, its not surprising to see the models enjoying the 'happy' look and posing on a luscious garden-inspired backdrop. As any other collection, the models weren't walking but standing there flaunting their bright outfits, spectacular accessories and the attention-grabbing polished nails.

Saree Shopping :D

Hello again :) I wanted to share one of the time I spent in Nepal while going for Saree shopping and something that made me so happy that day apart from getting the sarees :D. As I'm Nepalese and Hindu, I love and the word LOVE sarees. Saree for me, is one of the most feminine look a woman can ever wear <3 . There is a famous quote made by someone about saree that says: ''Saree covers the right amount, and reveals the right amount. Its such a perfect tease''. And hell yes that is indeed 100% accurate and the perfect description for it I agree.

As any Asian would do in Asia, you gotto bargain for anything that you want to buy lol. And as any Asian seller, they add massive amount of profit in the goods they are selling sometimes the profit ALONE is more than the actual price they purchased. To start off with the story of that day, I want to share a little information of my family that will be needed to understand what is going on. My family owns a clothes shop in Nepal, its a solo business, like majority of the shops in Nepal, like in most Asia. My family has different links with lots of other shops where we buy stocks for our own shop. The shop in the pictures I've posted here is one of them and is in a place called Pokhara. Theshop was kind of hectic and pretty big with many workers which the main owner of the shop hired, each of them displaying different things that their customers were looking for. When my mother sister was looking for the goods for our own shop for selling, I was too busy dribbling for all the beautiful and sophisticating sarees as I was seeing them hanging hehe.

As it had been years and years I left Nepal, I wanted to know what the pricing for sarees were. I pointed out to one of the saree that was hanging and asked one of the worker for the price, the worker stood up to look at the label and said ' it's 22 thousand rupees''. Inside I was like what? Ok forget it. LOL. I could already have that feeling of giving up as there was no way I would be able to afford even one saree with that price, even after bargaining. Then, after a while after looking at I had an urge to ask the price of the Same saree that was hanging, but this time I asked the main owner. Straight away, without looking he said that one is 7 thousand rupees O_O

At that moment I first thought that the first worker somehow had a mistake reading the price or something lol. But when I told my big sister about what I heard, the answer she gave me made me so damn happy! She told me that both prices I heard are right, 22 thousand rupees is probably the price they're selling to 'normal customers' who comes to buy. What do I mean by 'normal customers'? Well the main owner 'knew' me as my family is a regular wholesale customer, so he was being nice to me telling me the wholesale price of that saree!!
Basically I was so damn lucky to be part of my family where the seller was willing to sell me the sarees with the wholesale price not the actual price they're selling to normal customers !!!

C'mmon, 22 thousand rupees and 7 thousand rupees what a huge gap! Straight away after hearing what my sister told me, my heart could feel that 'giving up' mood fading straight away :D I became a happiest bunny ever!  Its like I didn't even had to bother bargaining. The seller was too generous. Amen.
This shop is madness! So many sarees to choose from. So little time. I love playing with other colours but never get tired of  red sarees.

Two of the sarees that came home with me on that day.

Its a bit coincidence the way both of them happened to have green border hehe. Red and green colour combination like on the left is one of the many famous colour combination in sarees, plus I love the type of print that this particular one has. This particular saree on the left was the first saree that I had my eyes on, after going through lots of other kinds of red-green sarees in the shop, I stuck to the very first saree I saw because most of them had something that I didn't really like. The second saree on the right I was bit unsure deciding in the shop, plus seeing all  the countless sorts of colours who wouldn't have indecisive mind! Plus that is something how I always am when it comes to coming up with a valid decision, always leave myself with dilemmas. Anyway, going back to the topic of second saree, the colour in the picture looks bit more purple than it is. In real, the colour is more of a Magenta colour which is one of my favourite colours I'm into recently. I like how the Magenta colour is not entirely pink but not entirely purple, its more of a colour in between as if they're mixed. So yeah, the colour of the saree in real is Magenta.

Sarees stacked in the shelves with colour co-ordination. This is how my saree wardrobe should be looking . Sigh , hehe

Ready for Nepal

Hey everyone. So I decided to write a blog again after a year Lol. And this is going to be about the my trip to Nepal (my home :) ) where I stayed for 4 months :D . I miss it already! Yes it was finally so relaxing to be in my Home Home when I'm settled somewhere abroad.

At London Heathrow Airport

Would kill to work in either of these heaven.

Ready to fly!! Deport for my first transit - Doha, Qatar.

Outfit for airport. Before leaving the house.

I went back to my home country after 3 years now and this is the second time I had been back. First thing I noticed as soon as i stepped out from the plane is the extreme hot weather! Yes I went back during summer time, and trust me going on a holiday in Asia during summer is a big NO from me. But due to my university schedule, the only time I'm ever free is during the summer leave. And I went around the start of the summer time where the season stayed for whole four months I stayed lol. The moment I stepped outside the plane, I could feel the heat wave straight on my face and my body, then didn't take a while to start sweating. Yikes! But whats good is seeing my hometown after such a long time, seeing how certain things have changed and how certain things were still the same around the place I lived in, the place I grew up.

Finally arrived in Nepal.
Me and my family took a cab to head to the hometown we live in from the capital of Nepal, Katmandu. Its like we have two different Suns in England and in Nepal (or shall I say most parts in Asia). It was super boiling hot even with all the windows open while travelling due to the sun striking through the front window which resulted in super hot heatwave inside the car.We had to stop by so many restaurants in the middle for a quick cold drinks. Even carrying cold drinks in the car will result in warm drinks eventually lol.
As you can see even the thin blue blazer I wore while leaving England has gone off my body lol. Even having your hair down would be such a big deal hehe.
